Big Lots to Celebrate New El Paso, TX, Store Grand Opening with a Donation to EP Fighting Hunger

Columbus, OH—(September 24, 2019)—Big Lots announced today it is celebrating the grand opening of its El Paso store in its new location on Saturday, October 12, 2019. This store will reflect a new format, which is part of a broader initiative to reposition the brand as a community retailer offering trustworthy value and friendly service. As part of the celebration, Big Lots will host a grand opening ribbon cutting ceremony at 8:30 a.m. on October 12. The first 50 shoppers entering the store on October 12 and October 13 will receive a reusable shopping bag filled with tasty treats from Big Lots. In addition, the company will kick off donation program benefiting El Pasoans Fighting Hunger Food Bank, a charity organization with the mission to combat the hunger crisis in the region by strategically procuring and distributing nutritious food through community partners because no one should go hungry. Big Lots will donate $5 to the local charitable organization each time a BIG Rewards loyalty member redeems a reward at the El Paso store over a six-week period (October 12-November 24).

The new store, located at 6375 Montana Ave., El Paso, TX 79925, will be a showcase for the continued roll out of a new store layout and design across all Big Lots stores, both in new builds as well as in redesigns at existing locations. Big Lots will host local dignitaries, representatives from El Pasoans Fighting Hunger Food Bank and other community guests at the ribbon cutting.
