(February 11, 2019) El Paso, TX-- The 27th annual letter carriers’ food drive, Stamp Out Hunger®, will be on Saturday, May 11, 2019. The National Association of Letter Carriers’ (NALC), helps give back to communities by encouraging households to fill up a brown paper bag with non-perishable food items.
El Paso residents can leave their donation of non-perishable goods in paper bags, distributed by letter carriers', next to their mailbox on May 11th. The nation’s 212,000 letter carriers collect the food donations left and distribute them to local food banks, such as El Pasoans Fighting Hunger.
The Stamp Out Hunger® Food Drive is the country’s largest single-day food drive. It is held annually on the second Saturday in May in 10,000 cities and towns in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands and Guam. Want to Donate Food?
Non-perishable food items include: canned fruits, canned vegetables, peanut butter, 100% fruit juices, soups, cereals, canned meats, pasta, pasta sauce, canned tuna and oatmeal.
Want to Volunteer?

All food donations will go to El Pasoans Fighting Hunger Food Bank, the distribution center for more than 125+ local food pantries, to continue to help feed the thousands of food insecure individuals in El Paso, Culberson and Hudspeth Counties.
