EPCC Tejanos Helping El Pasoans Fighting Hunger

The Pasos Program at El Paso Community College brings together motivated educators and a community that view our location, population, and stories as assets to student success. Pasos is dedicated to advancing our US/Mexico border community through family engagement, equity in the classroom, inclusion, and social justice. We will increase civic engagement through educational, creative projects, service learning, and community activism.

Every academic year, the EPCC Pasos Program chooses a local non-profit organization to sponsor and we are very excited about a partnership with El Pasoans Fighting Hunger. Through this initiative, we will be "Taking PASOS to build cariño one plate at time!"

Fundraising Ideas

You can get as creative as you like in engaging your family, friends and coworkers in a fundraising challenge. Here are some ideas to get you started:

A Celebration – Encourage friends and family to donate to the Food Bank in honor of a birthday, anniversary or family reunion.

A friendly competition – Break into teams to see who can raise the most funds. Offer a small prize or just bragging rights.

Dress down to raise funds – Great for an in-office team. Allow the team to dress down for a donation to the Food Bank. Maybe jeans on a Monday!?
