Food Fight Heats Up at The Outlet Shoppes - Every Bite Gives Back

El Paso’s most flavorful competition is here, and it's feeding more than appetites.

El Pasoans Fighting Hunger Food Bank has partnered with The Outlet Shoppes at El Paso to launch Food Fight, a fun and friendly fundraiser that turns every food court meal into hope for our community.

From February 7 to 14, participating food vendors will compete to collect the most receipts. Each receipt means real support for our neighbors facing hunger. The vendor with the most receipts will earn bragging rights and take home the one-of-a-kind Golden Asparagus trophy.

But the true impact goes beyond the prize.

The Outlet Shoppes will donate 10 percent of all receipt totals to El Pasoans Fighting Hunger Food Bank. Your lunch, snack, or dinner can help put food on a neighbor’s table.

“This kind of creative, joyful giving is exactly what our community needs right now,” said Kris Yagel, Interim CEO of El Pasoans Fighting Hunger. “When you eat at the mall during Food Fight, you’re doing more than grabbing lunch. You’re putting food on someone’s table. You’re feeding hope.”

How to Join the Food Fight

• Eat at any participating food court location
• Drop your receipt in the box near the register
• Repeat every time you visit
• The vendor with the most receipts wins the Golden Asparagus
• The competition runs from February 7 to 14
• The winner will be announced on February 17

Our food court vendors are ready to throw down. They are calling out their rivals, hyping their dishes, and bringing the heat. All in good fun and all for a great cause.

From tacos to teriyaki, smoothies to sliders, the competition is real. But at the heart of it all is to help feed families across our region.
