The inaugural Spark! Training Program Graduation

15 students graduated from the Spark! Training Program, an initiative by El Pasoans Fighting Hunger, during an emotional and uplifting ceremony on Friday, August 2nd.

The event marked the culmination of an intensive 8-week job skills training program that equipped the graduates with valuable certifications and skills for the job market.

The highlight of the ceremony was the presentation of plaques to the graduates, acknowledging their hard work and dedication. In addition to the plaques, the graduates earned five key certifications: ServSafe, OSHA, Forklift, CLA (Certified Logistics Associate), and CLT (Certified Logistics Technician). These certifications are critical in enhancing their employability and ensuring they are well-prepared for various job opportunities.

Adding to the excitement of the day, Wells Fargo presented a generous donation of $25,000 to EPFH. This donation will play a crucial role in continuing the program's mission of empowering individuals through job skills training and career readiness. The presentation of the check was a testament to Wells Fargo's commitment to supporting local job training initiatives and community development.

Student highlights were shared throughout the ceremony, showcasing personal stories of determination, resilience, and transformation. These narratives underscored the profound impact of the Spark! Training Program on the lives of the graduates and their families.

The ceremony concluded with heartfelt thanks and appreciation to all those who contributed to the program's success. Graduates, beaming with pride, expressed their gratitude for the opportunities provided to them.

The journey for these graduates does not end here. With their newly acquired skills and certifications, they are now actively seeking employment opportunities. El Pasoans Fighting Hunger is dedicated to assisting these graduates in their job search, providing continued support and resources to ensure their successful transition into the workforce.

Due to the program's success, the next two cohorts are already full, and a waitlist has been started. For more information about joining the waitlist or learning more about the Spark! Training Program, please call the main number 915.298.0353.

It is evident that the Spark! Training Program has significantly impacted the lives of these individuals. The graduation ceremony was not just a celebration of their achievements but also a reminder of the power of community, support, and education in transforming lives.
