For many families in our community, the 2025 holiday season was especially difficult. In addition to the longest government shutdown in U.S. history, several recent events since then have increased the economic strain: The Northeast water main break has added even more challenges for local households; another partial shutdown has once again impacted hard-working TSA employees and many other families; and the ever rising prices of food, gas and utilities that continue to squeeze limited household budgets forcing them to choose between putting food on their table or filling prescriptions or their gas tanks.

And with summer quickly approaching, the need will only grow. When school is out, many children lose access to regular school meals, leaving families to stretch their grocery budgets even further. That’s why we continue to show up for our neighbors, to make sure families don’t have to face those gaps alone.

Stamp Out Hunger Returns!

The Stamp Out Hunger food drive is returning, bringing our community together to support families in need. As the nation’s largest one-day food drives, it’s easy to leave nonperishable food by your mailbox for postal workers to pick up. In one day, this effort brings in a large amount of food, helping restock shelves and meet immediate needs.

But One Day Isn’t Enough

While Stamp Out Hunger brings a large volume of food, it can’t meet the year-round demand. Food moves quickly through our warehouse, and without ongoing support, families can still go without the meals they need.

How You Can Make the Biggest Impact

Your gifts to Stock the Shelves allow us to stock a variety of healthy foods to meet the needs of families and seniors. When you give, each dollar allows us to provide food for 7 meals to families in need.
