A Powerful Partnership with Marathon Petroleum

In the ongoing battle against hunger in El Paso, El Pasoans Fighting Hunger Food Bank has forged a crucial partnership with Marathon Petroleum Corporation’s (MPC) El Paso refinery. Since 2021, this collaboration has seen a remarkable eightfold increase in the number of families served monthly, rising from 50 to 400. Every last Friday of the month, MPC employees volunteer to distribute food from a refrigerated trailer at the refinery, a vehicle the refinery generously provided to facilitate local food transportation.
Marathon Petroleum's commitment goes beyond these monthly distributions. In 2024, they renewed their financial support with a $75,000 grant and will continue to support our annual fundraising gala, having significantly contributed to the success of the 2023 Noche de Estrellas event. Their unwavering support showcases a deep-rooted dedication to the El Paso community.
This partnership is a testament to what can be achieved when community bonds are strong and dedicated to a common cause. We look forward to continuing this impactful collaboration to ensure no El Pasoan goes hungry.
