Right now, your support can go twice as far in the fight against hunger. Through the generosity of the Woody and Gayle Hunt Family Foundation and an Anonymous Fund held at the Jewish Community Foundation of Southern Arizona, a $300,000 Match Challenge is underway.
All eligible donations will be matched dollar for dollar, up to $300,000. That means $1 helps provide not just 7 meals — but 14 for neighbors who are struggling to put food on the table.
Across El Paso, Hudspeth, and Culberson counties, 1 in 3 residents face food insecurity. The challenge is growing, especially with the largest cut to SNAP in its 50-year history, leaving thousands of families with fewer resources to buy groceries.
Last year, more than 110 million pounds of food were distributed to children, seniors, veterans, and working families — but the need continues to outpace supply. Community support is critical to keeping food flowing where it’s needed most.
“This matching opportunity helps put real food on the table when families need it most,” said Susan Goodell, CEO. “We are deeply grateful for the unwavering commitment of the Woody and Gayle Hunt Family Foundation and the Anonymous Fund. Every dollar now does twice the good.”
This campaign supports three types of giving:
Every eligible gift will be matched until the $300,000 goal is met.
Matched donations will help:
The mission is clear: lead the fight against hunger by providing nutritious food, education, and other vital resources.
This match campaign is your chance to make twice the impact for neighbors who need us most.
