100 Volunteers Gathered for Stamp Out Hunger, the Nation's Largest Food Drive

On the largest one-day food drive in the country, thousands of pounds of food are collected across El Paso in just hours. Stamp Out Hunger began in partnership with the National Association of Letter Carriers, where our neighbors are able to participate by simply leaving out a bag of non-perishable food by their mailbox.
When thousands of pounds of food arrive in one afternoon, the real work begins. About 100 volunteers mobilized at over 10 different post office locations to help collect and sort donated food before it gets loaded onto the back of the El Pasoans Fighting Hunger's vehicles, and transported to the food bank.
Those volunteers included groups such as the El Paso Zaragoza Rotary, Mail Carriers (current and retired), and El Paso youth.
El Pasoans Fighting Hunger thanks all the amazing volunteers, letter carriers, and community members who participated to make the Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive a success! Your support helped provide food and hope to families in our community.

In the El Paso region, 2 in 5 neighbors face food insecurity.
Stamp Out Hunger comes at a critical time as we head into summer, when demand rises and donations are typically low. The food collected helps ensure that families, especially children out of school, continue to have access to meals.

The Fight Against Hunger Continues
Stamp Out Hunger plays an important role in supporting our Stock the Shelves campaign. The goal is simple but critical: restock the food at your local food bank that has been stretched thin by the growing need for food assistance.
But One Day Isn’t Enough
While Stamp Out Hunger brings in a large volume of food, it can’t meet the year-round demand. Food moves quickly through our warehouse, and without ongoing support, families can still go without the meals they need.
With your donations, we can provide a consistent source of nourishment to those who rely on us for food. Every dollar you donate turns into food for 7 meals.
Additionally, if you give now, your donation will be matched up to $11,500 thanks to our match sponsors. That means when you donate $25, we can provide 350 meals to our neighbors. Together, we can ensure that no one goes hungry.
