JOB TITLE: Processing Supervisor

POSITION SUMMARY:

With guidance and support from the Warehouse Manager, the employee performs duties related to sorting and repacking food items for distribution and trains and interacts with volunteers, as well as other distribution center duties.

MAJOR DUTIES AND SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

Include, but are not limited to the following:

• Presort, inspect, sanitize, resort and box product for distribution;
• Prepare and package agency orders for distribution;
• Follow first in/first out priority system of processing;
• Clean and sanitize work area daily;
• Maintain proper record/reports;
• Train and supervise volunteers in a friendly and professional manner;
• Perform other duties as requested or assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to operate manual or electric pallet jack
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. repeatedly
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to work evenings or weekends
• Ability to pass a background check;
• Ability to pass random drug testing.

• Strong organizational skills, including the ability to successfully manage multiple priorities and projects and consistently meet deadlines;
• Strong attention detail and ability to work with a high degree of accuracy;
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
• Ability to be flexible and quickly adapt to changing priorities;
• Ability to work effectively under periodically stressful conditions;
• Good problem solving skills;
• Ability to work well independently, as well as a member of teams;
• Positive and professional attitude and demeanor
