Food FARMacy Stocker

Full-Time: 40 hours per week. Location: 9541 Plaza Circle, El Paso, TX 79927

Reports to: Director of Programs

Position Summary:

With guidance and support from the Director of Programs and Warehouse Manager, the employee performs duties related to sorting, stocking shelves, and repacking food items for distribution in the Food FARMacy and trains and interacts with volunteers, assists clients, as well as other distribution center duties.

Primary Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Presort, inspect, sanitize, resort, and stock shelves with products for distribution
• Prepare grocery items for client shopping
• Follow the first in/first out system
• Clean and sanitize work areas daily
• Maintain proper records/reports
• Train and supervise volunteers in a friendly and professional manner
• Perform other duties as requested or assigned.

Qualifications and Abilities:

• Operate a manual or electric pallet jack
• Lift up to 50 lbs. repeatedly
• Stand for long periods of time
• Work evenings or weekends
• Strong organizational skills
• Manage multiple priorities and projects and consistently meet deadlines
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with a high degree of accuracy
• Strong Customer Service skills
• Computer skills to enter client orders
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to be flexible and quickly adapt to changing priorities
• Ability to work effectively under periodically stressful conditions
• Good problem-solving skills
• Ability to work well independently, as well as a member of teams
• Positive and professional attitude and demeanor
• Ability to pass a background check
• Ability to pass random drug testing
